Property Seller Miracle Recovery

The one where I was negotiating a house purchase, and witnessed the miraculous recovery of the seller….

Negotiating a private sale in order to save fees and speed up the sales process can be a good way to do things.

Especially if you’re an investment buyer and your seller is motivated to get the deal done quickly.

The direct negotiation process can be a little fraught, especially if the reason for selling is obviously an acrimonious divorce.

As was the case in one of our property viewings.  As it turned out, we never did buy the property – the warring couple couldn’t agree on a price.

But while we were sitting in the car afterwards discussing the deal.

We were, shall we say, amused to see the wheelchair-bound husband (who may a great play of his disabilities, my business partner and I having to help get him into the property, under the disparaging eye of his soon to be ex-spouse).

Wheel himself around the corner to his car, look around, jump out of the wheelchair completely able-bodied, pack it in the boot of his car and drive off…
